Valentine's in The Schoolhouse 💕

Hi mamas,

The Little Red Schoolhouse was filled with all things LOVE this February! 💕❤️

We kicked off February with our 💕 LOVE 💕 themed library filled with all our favorite books about love!

We set the table for our much anticipated mama/child Valentine’s workshop!

Love… the single most important thing we do as humans… to love one another. 💕

Here in The Little Red Schoolhouse, we believe in doing small things with great love every day! We believe that love is a gift from God, and an education without love, compassion, and empathy is no education at all.

We are beyond blessed to have this amazing community of families that love with their whole hearts & value their Children’s education. We love you!! 💕

We love great books, fun engaging writing lessons, and of course showering our families with LOVE!

We LOVED bringing one of our fave Valentines books to life for our students, ”The Day It Rained Hearts” By Felicia Bond! 💕

After a lively reading, students were able to make text-to-self connections in dressing up like the main character in the story, Cornelia Augusta!

We also had fun interacting with our text through our lesson and crafting Valentines of our own! 💌✏️

We believe that love is your superpower, and we loved seeing our little authors & illustrators’ thoughtful words, kind hearts, and AMAZING illustrations! ❤️✏️📚

We love bringing books to life for our little learners through fun engaging writing lessons! 📚✏️

After a reading of one of our favorite books “Love Is” By Diane Adams, students brainstormed ideas of what love is to them for their pre-writing activity which wouldn’t be complete without baby chicks! ✏️❤️

These much needed opportunities connect us to our text in rich and meaningful ways, which ignites creativity and a love for reading & writing! ✏️📚
