Our Mission in The Little Red Schoolhouse is simple… We make learning fun through rich hands on multi-sensory lessons in language arts, writing, baking, gardening, and crafting. Come join our adventure!

In the Little Red Schoolhouse we make learning fun, through rich hands on learning experiences! Students learn to write neatly with proper letter formation, capitalization, and punctuation, using the ‘Handwriting Without Tears‘ multi-sensory curriculum for printing and cursive . We also incorporate phonics, spelling, grammar, poetry, thematic and informational writing in a fun engaging way that works for ALL learning styles and students with learning differences.

Adventures in

Animals & Nature

From watching caterpillars turn into butterflies to interacting with our backyard mini farm, our students learn all about animals and nature!

Literature & Reading

Our language arts & writing curriculum is rooted in literature. We incorporate children’s books, non-fiction, fiction, historical non-fiction, and informational text to create fun thematic lessons in literature!

Gardening & Baking

Students learn all about planting, growing, and harvesting vegetables in our backyard garden. We use ingredients from our garden to integrate math and science through baking & cooking.

Neighborly

We know and trust our neighbors. We can ensure that your children are in a great neighborhood with safe pick-up and drop-off procedures.

Private

The schoolhouse is in a private fenced-in backyard. Neither your children can wander out nor can unwanted visitors wander in!

Interactive

We love our pets and furry friends so we always make sure they’re fenced in. We teach the children animal respect and health safety when interacting with livestock.
