Thanksgiving in the Schoolhouse

Hi Mamas,

We are so grateful that we could celebrate Thanksgiving here in The Little Red Schoolhouse. We are beyond thankful and blessed to have this amazing group of mamas, students, families, teachers, principals, OT’s, and speech pathologists that make up our very special community.

It’s an honor and privilege to come alongside all of you on your educational journey! ❤️🍽🦃

In honor of Thanksgiving, we made this adorable “Thankful Turkey” centerpiece.

This super easy DIY craft can be made at home with your kids to celebrate gratitude year after year, and treasure your family’s memories of thankfulness!

Here in the Schoolhouse, we learned about pilgrims and Native American Indians.

We created thankful pie poems, enjoyed pumpkin pie, and snacked on Mayflower Munch at our “Friendsgiving” Feast!

Our learners loved learning new words in Cherokee, dressing up like the characters in our books, and connecting with our text by planting fish with our vegetables to create rich soil just as the Wampanoags did many years ago. We love bringing books to life for our students, and we are thankful, grateful, and blessed to work with such amazing students and families!
