Marigold Lesson

The Marigold Effect! Students got to participate in a concept called “companion planting” placing certain vegetables and plants near each other to improve growth and prevent disease and fungus. Among companion plants, marigolds are one of the best! Plant a marigold beside most any garden veggie and they will be protected from harmful pests and weeds, growing big, healthy, and strong. Life is much like the garden. We have a choice to be a marigold or a weed. Students learned all about the positive effects of marigolds, making good choices, and why we would want to stay away from weeds that can infect us.

Students agreed that being a marigold (having a positive effect, supporting, and encouraging others to thrive in this garden we call life) is good way for us all to live by! ❤️🌼📝
