Duck Life Cycle 2024 🦆

Hi mamas,

Another fun year hatching ducks for our duck life cycle lesson right here in The Little Red Schoolhouse! 🦆

Students were busy working away in their lifecycle of a duck stem journals, ✏️📚 creating an embryonic countdown calendar, 🗓️ documenting the embryo as it grows, dipping the eggs in very warm water to help aid in development, as well as turning the eggs daily in the incubator.

Follow along on our adventures and learning by hatching ducks at home. Download your STEM journals here!

Ducklings’ first bath! 🐣🛁

Ducky fun fact…
Did you know that baby ducklings don’t get their waterproof feathers until they’re more than 3 months old?! 🦆

And although there’s nothing a duck loves more than water, we can only let our babies enjoy a quick warm water dip under a watchful eye as baby ducklings can easily flood their organs.

Listen in below to watch our learners give our 2 week old duckies a dip. 🐣🛁

Listen in below to our students as they read all about ducks to our baby ducklings. ❤️🐣🦆

Learners had real hands-on experiences with our duck, Mrs. Puddles, as they explored the anatomy of a duck! Join us for all our animal life cycle projects here on our backyard farm! ❤️🦆

Creating memory-making lessons with rich hands-on experiences is what we do best! 📚
