Christmas in the Schoolhouse

Hi mamas,

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in The Little Red Schoolhouse! We transformed our Schoolhouse into a winter wonderland with lots of fun learning themes this month. From writing letters to Santa, a gingerbread study, Polar Express, and learning about Hanukkah, we had lots of fun in writing. ✏️📚🎄

Polar Express Children’s Book Study

We had so much fun in learning at our Polar Express PJ party! 🤶🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄

Students enjoyed a simile study of Chris Van Allsburg’s holiday classic children’s book, Polar Express, while wearing PJ’s and “drinking hot cocoa as thick and rich as melted chocolate bars” just like the characters in our book!

Letters to Santa

This holiday season, our students had fun crafting their letters and Christmas lists to Santa and wrapping them up like gifts to be sent off to the North Pole!

I’m hoping your little learners got what they asked for this Christmas while remembering the bright words of Dr. Seuss’ Grinch. 🎄🤶🏻🎅🏻💌

“Maybe Christmas,” he thought,

“Doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas… perhaps… means a little bit more!”
