Kinder and first grade friends enjoyed some fine motor activities while picking turkey herbs from our garden and tying them up in little bundles to take home to mom for the Thanksgiving Turkey. 🦃
Students enjoyed reading and writing all about pilgrims and Indians and the ‘First Thanksgiving’ this week, and having a feast of our own with Mayflower munch served in waffle cones to represent the cornucopia.
Our little pilgrims and Indians enjoyed learning about the first Thanksgiving, and created ‘Placemats of thanks’ for our feast! 🦃
After a reading of the book “Feeling Thankful”, students reflected on what they are thankful for by creating thankful pie acrostic poems of their own, while enjoying pumpkin pie! 🥧 🧡
